The Ukrainian side informs about a cyberattack. Its course and methods applied are in line with the Russian Federation’s actions against the West,” wrote Stanisław Żaryn, Spokesperson for the Minister Coordinator of Special Services in a statement published on the website of the Republic of Poland.
“The statement displayed by the aggressors on the websites was written, among others, in Polish, but it contained major mistakes, which indicates that the text was prepared by someone for whom Polish is not a mother tongue. We are witnessing an outside attempt to increase tensions between Poland and Ukraine,” wrote Żaryn.
“The actions of the Russian services targeted at relations of Poland and neighboring countries are a permanent element of Moscow’s politics, which is hostile to Central Europe’s countries. That is why the recent attack must be assessed through the prism of broader Russian operations against the West. For years we have been dealing with Russian cyber aggression. Russian cyber and disinformation attacks must be interpreted in the context of both the increasing aggression of Moscow targeted at NATO and actions carried out against Ukraine. Russia has been waging a war against Ukraine for years and now it is increasing its military pressure on Kyiv,” he added.
