Robert Lewandowski confirms: “The story with Bayern has come to an end”

“My story at Bayern Munich has come to an end,” the captain of the Polish national team Robert Lewandowski confirmed. Thus, it becomes clear that the Pole will leave the team of the German champion.

Selected in a FIFA poll for the best football player in the world in 2020 and 2021, the Pole after the last match of the Bundesliga season announced that he will not extend the contract expiring next year with Bayern. He also did not rule out that he will leave the club already this summer because it is the last moment when the German side can receive a transfer fee for him. Now, he has officially confirmed that he does not want to play in Bayern anymore.

“One thing is certain for today. My story at Bayern Munich is over. After everything that has happened in recent months, I cannot imagine further good cooperation. I realize that the transfer will be the best solution for both parties. I believe that Bayern will not keep me just because they can,” Lewandowski stated.

The Pole’s agent Pini Zahavi conveyed that no specific offer to extend the contract has been received. It is speculated that Lewandowski’s next club could be FC Barcelona.
