Poznań is on the brink of groundbreaking technological advancements. Minister of Development and Technology recently met with leaders from Poznań University of Technology, the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC), and the Aeroklub Poznański. They discussed the innovative research campus, Kąkolewo Campus, which has transformed a former airport into a hub for aviation, robotics, and space research under the Aerosfera project.
Innovative Aerospace Campus
Kąkolewo Campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including specialized robots, ground vehicles, measurement devices, and advanced flight trajectory analysis systems. The campus features a modern aircraft hangar, intelligent monitoring infrastructure, and extensive sensor systems. It also boasts a newly built runway lighting system, ensuring a fully equipped research environment.
Quantum Computing Revolution
In mid-2025, the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center will unveil the EuroQCS-Poland quantum computer. This development, funded partly by the Ministry of Digital Affairs, aims to enhance quantum technology applications across Europe. It promises significant advancements for research, industry, and public sector innovation.
