    Jubilee 25th edition of EtnoKrakow/Crossroads Festival

    The 25th edition of EtnoKrakow/Crossroads will take place in July in Krakow. A total of over 100 artists will perform on stage. Twenty concerts will feature music from three continents. Additionally, workshops, song and dance nights will be held.

    EtnoKrakow/Crossroads is a prominent and highly regarded festival in Europe that has been running continuously for 22 editions from 1999 to 2020. It has brought together over 400 bands from various continents, showcasing the finest and most captivating artists in the realm of Polish and international ethno and world music.

    The festival presents a diverse range of performances, including chamber concerts and open-air shows held in iconic locations such as the Main Market Square, Powiśle, and Wolnica Square. Audiences have had the opportunity to experience exceptional music from around the globe, encompassing genres like ethno, world music, folk, ethnojazz, and traditional music. Additionally, the festival places great emphasis on music workshops, which provide a unique chance for individuals to learn about the musical cultures of different parts of the world. These workshops, along with specially commissioned international artistic projects, further enrich the festival experience.

    One of the festival’s core objectives is to promote artists who both preserve the traditions of ancient musical cultures and explore their own interpretations rooted in those traditions. EtnoKrakow/Crossroads has become a highly regarded event in the ethno and world music scene, known for its dedication to preserving endangered traditions and supporting initiatives that foster tolerance, integration, inter-cultural dialogue, and mutual understanding through the medium of art.
