Michał Kwiatkowski of the INEOS Grenadiers team emerged triumphant on the 13th stage of the Tour de France, after a solo breakaway on the renowned Grand Colombier climb.
This marks the second career stage victory for the Polish cyclist in the Grand Loop. His previous triumph was achieved three years ago.
The 138-kilometer 13th stage from Chatillon-sur-Chalaronne to Grand Colombier
Although not in contention for the overall victory in the Tour de France (he was in 56th place before the stage), the 33-year-old has been highly active throughout the race.
The Ineos Grenadiers rider has climbed to 45th place in the general classification, while Rafał Majka currently holds the 24th position overall.
