Aleksandra Król-Walas has claimed victory in the parallel giant slalom at the Snowboard World Cup in Scuol, Switzerland. This marks the 34-year-old’s second career win in the World Cup series and solidifies her position as the leader in the event’s standings.
Król-Walas entered the competition with the third-fastest time in the qualifiers. She then defeated American Iris Pflum by a narrow margin of 0.06 seconds in the round of 16, advanced past Austria’s Sabine Payer due to a fall in the quarterfinals, and outpaced Dutch competitor Michelle Dekker, who did not finish, in the semifinals. In the final, she secured her win by beating Japan’s Tsubaki Miki by 0.23 seconds.
