The European Parliament has awarded the 2023 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought to Mahsa Amini and the Iranian Woman, Life, Freedom Movement. The President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, announced the award today in the parliament chamber in Strasbourg.
