Under the supervision of foresters, beech seedlings were put into the ground, said the spokesman of the University of Economics and Business (UEP) in Poznań Krzysztof Skrzypek.
"We hope that healthy, beautiful trees will grow in the UEP grove and that the place itself will be eagerly visited for walks, not only by the academic community," he emphasized.
The Skrzypek told PAP (Polish Press Agency) that the idea of planting trees came from the head of the marketing department of the university, Katarzyna Zdulska. Almost 30 people participated in the tree planting, including university authorities, students, lecturers and administration employees.
