President Andrzej Duda’s Chief Aide has stated that the focus of his visit to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates will be on cooperation in the areas of food and energy for Poland.

In Qatar, Duda will attend the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5).

On Monday, Duda concluded his three-day working visit to Qatar and immediately departed for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, which will last until Wednesday.

At a press briefing on Saturday, Marcin Przydacz, leader of the International Policy Bureau under President Andrzej Duda, expressed that Duda desires to increase the opportunities for Polish businesspeople in the Middle East before departing to Qatar.

Przydacz declared that the responsibility of Polish diplomacy, as articulated by the president, is to unlock opportunities for Polish businesses to participate in the markets of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Przydacz states that President Duda is aiming to advance the popularization of Polish cuisine in Qatar and to establish fresh trading avenues for Polish farmers.

Przydacz went on to explain that, while Middle Eastern countries export energy commodities, it is necessary to look for new ways to cooperate and new allies in order to safeguard Europe from any Russian influence in the energy sector.

According to Przydacz, countries in Africa and Asia tend to be more susceptible to Russian disinformation.

He informed reporters that it was necessary to impart to their associates from the South an understanding of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as well as what sparked it and its objectives.
