    Historic Achievement for Polish Boxing: Fabian Urbański Secures Final Spot at World Cadet Championships

    In an electrifying semifinal match at the World Cadet Championships, Fabian Urbański of Skorpion Szczecin etched his name in history as the first Polish boxer ever to advance to the championship final.

    The thrilling showdown on Friday saw a Polish representative engage in a riveting and fiercely contested bout against Germany’s Festim Nimani. Urbański faced an initial setback, trailing in the first round by a score of 1:4. However, he bounced back remarkably, securing the second round with a close 3:2 victory, leaving the scoreboard at 2:1 in favour of his opponent.

    Undeterred, the Polish pugilist showcased unwavering determination, fighting relentlessly until the final seconds. He decisively claimed the third round, ultimately triumphing with a 3:2 overall victory. In the much-anticipated final, Urbański is set to square off against Armenian contender Samvel Siramargyan.

    Joining Urbański in the limelight of this prestigious event, securing bronze medals in the Armenian capital, were Zuzanna Gołębiewska (54 kg, RUSHH Kielce), Oskar Grodzicki (52 kg, Kujawia Boks Włocławek), and Igor Soczówka (54 kg, Skorpion Szczecin).
