The National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has granted Republika TV a terrestrial broadcasting license. This significant development, announced by the station’s Editor-in-Chief Tomasz Sakiewicz, paves the way for Republika TV to reach a wider audience across Poland.
Republika TV submitted its application for the license to KRRiT on May 17. The decision by KRRiT, made yesterday, will allow the station to be included in the national multiplex, expanding its accessibility to viewers nationwide.
Speaking on air, Sakiewicz expressed his gratitude and highlighted the importance of this achievement. “We received the license, and thanks to this, we will soon be able to reach every one of you!” he said.
Sakiewicz emphasized the crucial support from the station’s viewers and the founding figures of the Solidarity movement. “First and foremost, we need to thank our viewers, everyone who has supported us, the heroes of Solidarity, the founders. Without their support, this license would simply not have been possible. Undoubtedly, this is an event with symbolic significance, but also practical, as we will reach millions of people who want to watch Republika TV but previously had no opportunity to do so,” he remarked.
