Łazarski University wins 8M PLN for air traffic administration education with cutting-edge simulation and practical training tools.
Łazarski University has been awarded over 8 million PLN in the “Education for the Needs of the Economy” competition by the National Center for Research and Development. The project, “Future Airspace Administration – Education through Simulation and Practice,” is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus.
The project aims to adapt the Air Traffic Administration (ATA) program to the needs of the rapidly growing aviation sector, including green and digital transformations. Students will gain practical skills using state-of-the-art simulation tools, such as the Air Traffic Control Simulator and Ground Handling Simulator.
The initiative also includes free training sessions using innovative digital tools for drone traffic management, including a VR drone flight simulator. A new specialty focused on unmanned aerial vehicle traffic administration and urban air mobility will be launched in the 2025/2026 academic year.
The ATA program offers a holistic view of the aviation transport system, covering regulatory, institutional, and technological aspects. This practical, cutting-edge educational offering is designed to meet the needs of the dynamically evolving aviation industry.
