Recently, University of Economics in Katowice has joined the EFMD Programme Accreditation community. Vice-Rector for Education and International Cooperation, University of Economics in Katowice Sławomir Smyczek: "The possibility to use the EFMD Accredited logo will definitely strengthen the position and prestige of the University in the country and abroad."

    4th Congress of International Researchers of Polish History

    On October 19-22, the 4th Congress of International Researchers of Polish History takes place in Kraków. "There are nearly 30 discussion panels that represent an extraordinary wealth of perspectives and intellectual inspirations", the press spokesman for the Polish History Museum Dr. Michał Przeperski said. The series of conferences, held every five years, was initiated by Cracow historians. The meetings bring together researchers from all over the world interested in Polish the history, culture, and language.     SkillsPoland 2022 in Warsaw – a pass to EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 European Championship of Young Professionals

    On November 23-25, at the AMBEREXPO Exhibition and Congress Center in Gdańsk, the national SkillsPoland 2022 competition will be held. The winners will have the opportunity to represent Poland during EuroSkills 2023, i.e. the European Skills Games. Next year, Poland will host this competitions for the first time in history. EuroSkills is the biggest vocational education and skills excellence event in Europe that is held every two years. EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 will be the 8th edition of the competition.

    An ancient temple was discovered under a church in Dalmatia

    An ancient, monumental temple dating back approx. 2,000 years was discovered by the Polish-Croatian researchers under the 18th century church in Danilo (Dalmatia), in the former Roman city of Ridit. The findings were made thanks to the use of GPR. A joint Polish-Croatian project has been underway at Danilo since 2019.

    Nano Film Festival – 1st edition of International Festival of Short Feature Films in Cracow

    Nano Film Festival is an international festival of short feature films up to 30 min open to all types of filmmaking: from productions made in film schools to off-line creativity. The festival creates a space for debut – a short film is the first step on the way to the long feature film. The 1st edition of the festival will be held in Cracow on October 21-23. The artistic director of the event is Robert Gliński, film and theater director.

    30 “old judges” of the Supreme Court refused to adjudicate with “new judges”

    According to Daily Legal Newspaper (Polish: Dziennik Gazeta Prawna), 30 judges of the Supreme Court have stated that they will not adjudicate jointly with persons appointed to that court in the procedure involving the present National Council of the Judiciary. "In such a situation, joining the proceedings and passing judgments is unacceptable". The group of so-called old judges who issued such a declaration includes President of the Criminal Chamber Michał Laskowski, President of the Chamber of Labour and Social Insurance Piotr Prusinowski, Włodzimierz Wróbel, and Dariusz Zawistowski.
