LOT Polish Airlines Extends Suspension of Flights to Israel

LOT Polish Airlines extends flight suspensions to Israel amid regional tensions, joining other airlines in halting services.

LOT Polish Airlines has extended its suspension of flights to Israel. Consequently, flights LO 151 from Warsaw to Tel Aviv on August 4 and 5, as well as return flights LO 152 on August 5 and 6, have been canceled. This decision follows a safety analysis conducted by the airline.

Other airlines, including Wizz Air, Delta, United Airlines, Lufthansa, and Air India, have also suspended flights to Israel due to the escalating situation in the region. Wizz Air has suspended flights to Israel and Jordan until August 4.

The suspension of flights comes amid rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, supported by Iran. Recent attacks have led to civilian casualties, prompting military responses and further instability in the region.

LOT Polish Airlines is predominantly state-owned, with the Polish State Treasury holding a 69.30% share and the Polish Aviation Group owning 30.7%.
