Emilia Babska from Warsaw took up shooting in 2016 at age 16. Today, we can congratulate her on winning a gold medal in shooting at World Cup in Munich, Germany! She took first place in the R2 - Women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 group with a total of 248.0 and defeated the winners of the last Paralympic Games in Tokyo!
Chemists from the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the National Museum in Warsaw have developed a new method of restoring colours on canvas. It allows the removal of wax-resin mass from the canvases that comes from the past conservation works. This procedure allows the paintings to be restored to their original colours by using a special organogel.
On Wednesday, July 13, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson visited children from Ukraine in Będzin and Czeladź. She wanted to see cities where Ukrainians found shelter from the conflagration of war. It was a great experience and the Duchess had the opportunity to talk with the warmhearted people of Poland. It was her third visit in Poland since war with Russia first broke out in March in the Ukraine. On February 24, the Duchess's charity, Sarah's Trust, sent three lorry loads of supplies to Poland after Moscow ordered its troops into Ukraine. A nurse from the Battalion Zośka, Anna Jakubowska, alias 'Paulinka' passed away aged 95. She was a Polish World War II combatant, community activist, and a participant of the Warsaw Uprising. During World War II, she was an active partisan in the Polish underground resistance movement. First, in the underground PET organization, and later as a nurse and liaison officer in groups later transformed into the Battalion Zośka of the Home Army.

Bruno Schulz was a Polish Jewish writer, fine artist, literary critic and art teacher. He is regarded as one of the great Polish-language prose stylists of the 20th century. Unfortunately, several of Schulz's works were lost in the Holocaust and his fate was equally tragic. In 1942, when he was walking back home toward Drohobycz Ghetto with a loaf of bread, he was shot and killed by a German Nazi, a Gestapo officer.

IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup 2022 'Kiliński's Saber' has been officially organised and put in the World Cup calendar since 2001. District Prosecutor's Office in Słupsk accused 4 women of physical and mental child abuse in the "Skrzaty" non-public preschool. According to Spokesman District Prosecutor's Office Paweł Wnuk, the findings of the investigation show that the crimes took place from February to April 2019 and they were committed against a total of 11 children with disabilities or needing additional care aged 3 and 4 years old.
