The backwoods hide many graves that, apart from foresters, are visited by a handful of people today. However, there is a need to remember that those graves are also part of Polish cultural heritage.

Today for the first time in history, four Polish towns will witness simultaneously the dismantling of monuments dedicated to the Red Army: Glubczyce and Byczyna (Opole region), Bobolice (West Pomerania region) and Staszow (Świętokrzyskie region). "These memorials should have been gone long ago, because they deconstruct national awareness and relate to ahistorical facts," the IPN President Karol Nawrocki told PAP.

Coventry University has announced the opening of the Coventry University Research Institute Europe (CURIE) which will extend the university's activities beyond the already operating campus in Poland. It will conduct research and development works in Wrocław and build competences corresponding to the contemporary challenges of the market.
