The #sadziMY campaign is organized on the initiative of President Andrzej Duda and the State Forests National Forest Holding. Yesterday, the foresters started to distribute free seedlings all over Poland. The State Forests prepared 1,000,000 seedlings for this year's edition of #sadziMY to be distributed within two days. President Andrzej Duda: "Each planted seedling is a part of the fight against climate change. One million seedlings are to be distributed to all those who want to download and plant them. I encourage you to lend a hand in planting forests and trees in Poland."
On September 28, the XIV NNW 2022 International Film Festival competition in Gdynia started. This great film festival shows themes from modern history in over 100 films whose common feature is describing the search for universal paths to freedom. The festival will last until October 1.
According to official submissions, every day 37 bicycles on average are stolen in Poland. Moreover, many people do not report theft because they do not believe in the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies so the actual number may be many times higher. Data from previous years show that the trend is upward and there will be more thefts. Compared with the Netherlands, the most developed cycling country, about half a million bicycles are stolen every year there. A new series of concerts, "JAZZ PO POLSKU Live Sessions" 2022 will last until December 26 every Sunday evening. The hydrotreated vegetable oil plant currently under construction in Płock will enable PKN ORLEN to offer a low-carbon sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to airlines starting from 2025. This innovative product will be made from used cooking oils. SAF offers a reduction of up to 80% in carbon emissions over the lifecycle of the fuel compared to traditional jet fuel and is suitable for jet engines used in aircraft today. PKN ORLEN and PLL LOT have signed an agreement on cooperation in implementing pro-environmental solutions helping to meet the requirements of the EU’s Fit for 55 package.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 is set to be the 20th edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It is set to take place in Yerevan, Armenia on 11 December 2022, following the country's victory at the 2021 contest with the song "Qami Qami" by Maléna. Poland selected it’s representative last Sunday. Laura Bączkiewicz won "Szansa na Sukces" (English: "A Chance for Success") with the song “To The Moon“.

The ZOO Gdańsk is one of the largest zoological gardens in Poland, an attractive place for recreation and education, visited annually by hundreds of thousands of tourists and residents. Despite her elbow injury, Annemiek van Vleuten (the Netherlands) took an incredible victory in the women’s elite road race at the UCI Road World Championships (including Women Under-23) in Wollongong, Australia. The silver medal was won by Lotte Kopecky (Belgium), and the bronze medal by Silvia Persico (Italy). Polish representative Katarzyna Niewiadoma was 8th. During the championships, the Polish team consisted of Katarzyna Niewiadoma, Karolina Kumięga, Marta Lach, Agnieszka Jaskulska, Dominika Włodarczyk, and Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka.

The International Festival of Comics and Games has been organized since 1991 and became the biggest comics event in Poland and Central-Eastern Europe. Until 1998 it functioned as the Polish Convention of Comics Artists. Above all, the festival is a place where comics & electronic interactive media creators and fans can meet. The 30th edition of the festival in the Expo-Lodz hall was visited by over 20 000 people. This year, the 33rd edition of the MFKiG will take place on September 24-25.
The "I TOUCH=I WIN" (Polish: "Dotykam=Wygrywam") campaign to prevent breast cancer and promote wearing a proper-fitting bra was inaugurated on September 20 at the Hotel Double Tree by Hilton in Warsaw. Breast cancer in Poland ranks first among malignant neoplasms in women. The data from National Cancer Registry (Poland) show that it accounts for as much as 25% of all diagnosed cancer cases. In 2020, the disease was diagnosed in 24,644 women, out of whom 8,805 died.
