    270 thousand Ukrainians have already found a job in Poland

    From March 15 this year, employers in Poland informed about the employment of over 270 thousand Ukrainian citizens. The vast majority of the new employees, that is 194 thousand, are women. In recent months, most Ukrainians have found a job in the following voivodeships: Mazowieckie, Dolnośląskie, Łódzkie, and Wielkopolskie. The employment process under the simplified procedure fulfilled its intended purpose.

    The 11th edition of the “Clean Tatra Mountains” initiative has started today!

    “Clean Tatra Mountains” initiative organized by the “Clean Poland” Association is a great educational campaign organized in Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains since 2012. So far, 35,150 volunteers took part in the 10 editions of the initiative and they carried 6,719 kg of rubbish from the mountains. The partners of the July event are, as every year, the Mayor of the City of Zakopane, the Tatra National Park, and the Polish Cableways. The main partner is Electrolux, and other supporting sponsors are the following companies: Rekopol, Jan Niezbędny, and Biedronka.

    A blogger and activist, Insa Oguz from the Russian Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria has been camping on the border between Georgia and Russia. She was charged with facilitating terrorist activities in Russia while investigating corruption allegations of a high-ranking official in Kabardino-Balkaria. Despite her escaping from Russian prosecution, she was denied entry into Georgia and lived on the border. After 16 days, thanks to the effective actions of Polish diplomacy she is safe now.

    Adrian Kostera broke the world record and won 2nd edition of the Ultra-Triathlon in Colmar, France! The Pole swam 19 km, cycled 900 km and finally ran 211 km in a time of 67 hours, 45 minutes and 51 seconds. He beat the world record set a year ago by Robert Karas by almost 14 minutes! Incredible!

    A driver with Polish roots and the hope of Polish motorsport Roman Biliński has applied for a Polish passport! ‘I want to follow the path set by Robert Kubica’, says the young racer. For now, his career in Formula 3 season is associated with the Trident Motorsport racing team. He competes in the regional Formula 3 championships consisting of 10 races in Monaco, France, Holland, Hungary, Belgium, Austria, and Catalonia. The series will close with a round at the legendary Mugello circuit in Italy.

    On June 20-21, Gdynia hosted the 5th edition of the Development Vision Forum. During the event, topics related to the most important challenges facing the Polish economy were discussed. The agenda was devoted to issues such as energy, finance, industry, innovation, maritime economy, and the labor market. PKN ORLEN and Grupa LOTOS have just agreed and signed a merger plan involving transfer of the LOTOS assets to PKN ORLEN. The director of the Strategy and Strategic Products Office of PKN Orlen Karol Wolff spoke about this in the "Economics Report" program.
